Authoring Action will host its 11th Annual major fundraising event in a new, virtual format entitled Taste of the South at...Home. Guests will continue to enjoy tastings of the very best in Southern cuisine, but this year they will select a drive-through pick up time to receive their exquisite Southern tastings to enjoy at home.
The event will feature Southern tastes from local favorites in the Winston-Salem restaurant scene. Alongside the tastings, guests will enjoy a virtual program featuring tasting descriptions, a silent auction, updates from Authoring Action, and special performances by Authoring Action Renaissance Assegai members Jimmie “JJ” Jeter from the cast of Hamilton, and Tony Jenkins, NYC director, actor, and playwright.
On the evening of the event, guests will drive through and pick up their tastings in the parking lot at Bib’s Downtown (675 W. 5th Street) from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Pickup times will be selected at the time of ticket purchase. Then they'll return home to watch the virtual program which begins at 7:00 pm and will be available for viewing throughout the evening.
